Battle Strikers are a hot toy that is quite new to the toy shop shelves. Their magnetic technology has spun them ahead of the competition in the world of spinning tops. The Battle Strikers Tournament Set is a good way to buy all the bits of kit you need to get your child started with Battle Strikers. It is cost effective and includes everything for a two player game, being two launchers, two Strikers, two Controllers and a Battle Arena.
They may sound like toys from times gone by but they have been updated immensely. There are quite a range of individual tops to choose between and each one is different in name and handling ability during battle. Of the two Strikers included in the Tournament Set, one is designed with attack skills and one with defence.
To get going with a Battle Strikers battle you first attach your Striker to the Launcher. This is easy to do as the magnets on each piece just attract and stick together. To rev the Striker up to battle speed you press the trigger on the Launcher and once you are ready, you bash the top to send it off into battle. You launch the tops into the Battle Arena which is a plastic area with raised edges that is included with the set. Once in battle you can use a glove type fingertip controller which is also magnetised to direct your Striker. This is the first game of its type where spinning tops are controllable.
Battle Strikers offer customisation options as well as just a battling game. Each striker is made up of certain parts that are slightly different between Striker. As long as your Striker has one of each type of part, it does not matter which part they use. As such you can dismantle your collection of Strikers and rebuild them mixing up the parts as you go to create unique versions. By experimenting with which parts affect the handling of the Striker, you should be able to build an all powerful top that should beat the competition with ease.
