Since I have a limited clothing budget, I often shop Dillards when they have sales.  Dillards dresses, when on sale,  are steals.  They also have their discounted and clearance racks.  I head straight for these when shopping for a Dillards dress.  There are some bargains, but it is important to be a smart and patient shopper when looking for the right Dillards dress.

Several years ago, I went Dillards dress shopping hoping to find a nice dress for a wedding.  Of course I made a b-line for the clearance rack and lo and behold I found a great dress for the modest price of $15.  Not only did it look fabulous on the rack, it also looked fabulous on me.  It was a little black and white number that I jumped on immediately.  That Dillards dress became mine that day.  It was a perfect dress for the wedding and for many other dressy occasions.

When comparison shopping, nobody beats Dillards quality.  A Dillards dress is often a designer dress at department store prices.  Unfortunately, a full-priced Dillards dress, designer dress,  is still out of my price range.  There are times when I try on a full priced designer Dillards dress just for the fun of it.  When it looks great on, that can be a mixed bag.  I want to take it home, but I can’t possibly afford it.  My plan is to wait it out, hoping that the full priced Dillards dress in my size  will soon be on the sale rack.  Yes, shopping for a Dillards dress is a waiting game.

If you are shopping for a Mother of the Bride dress, then a Dillards dress may be the perfect fit.  Bridal shops are expensive and sometimes their dresses are a one-time wear affair.  Who wants to pay that kind of money to wear a dress one time?  A Dillards dress, while pricey, can be a knockout at a wedding and it can be worn for many occasions.  My suggestions is if you’re in the market for the MOB dress, then look at Dillards dresses first.  The quality of a Dillards dress  is first rate and more than likely it will be   equal in price or possibly even less expensive than a bridal shop MOB dress.

Dillards is a wonderful place to shop for so many things.  Their winter coats are super and as I said, I love shoe shopping there.  But if I had to choose one item from Dillards that tops everything else, it would have to be their dresses.  If money is no object, then you’re one of the lucky ones, who can waltz into a store and waltz out with a stunning Dillards dress.  If you’re like me, and money is an object (whatever that means) then at least at fun looking at the wonderful Dillards dresses.  It costs nothing to look and  you might even find one of those wonderful Dillards dresses on sale and in your size.  Happy Dillards dress hunting!
